Yes, it's true. In this day of fancy Wacom tablets I still cling to my mouse to make art! I don't know if that is something to be proud of-but it's how I get work done. I use non-repo blue pencils to draw-a trick that I picked up from working with animators. Then, I sit down in front of my iMac, fire up Photoshop to make the sketches all pretty. I get things rolling every morning with a gigante cinnamon latte. My feline supervisors, Haggis & Hamish, settle in around my computer desk to keep me company.

Read: any book written by Bill Bryson, any book about The American Revolution and the Founding Fathers or horse racing.
Watch: John Adams on HBO, anything with Gordon Ramsey in it, such as Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares and the F Word, Mad Men on AMC, Burn Notice, Project Runway, Diners Drive-ins and Dives.
Likes: Conn's potato chips from Zanesville, OH, Pepsi and road trips to Montana...
Also like: the ability to keep my portfolio site updated more often! I use Open-Pad, a great tool for us non-techy types. So check back for new art (added as soon as I can; some artwork won't be available to show until 2010!) and other news on my "About" page.

I have a BFA from The Columbus College of Art & Design (Columbus, Ohio) where I majored in Illustration. After several years working as a background painter in the children's edu-tainment area of the videogame industry- I am very happy to be a full time illlustrator now!
